“得”字句的译法（二）

一、“得”字后跟形容词或形容词短语作补语
(1)翻译公司常用英文中合适的形容词将“得”字后的形容词译出。例如：
a.你想得真周到。It’s very thoughtful of you.
b.你说得对。You’re right.
(2)将“得”字后的形容词或形容词短语译为副词或副词短语以修饰句子的谓语 部分。例如：
a.这篇文章写得很好。The article is very well written.
b.这个菜做得不好。This dish is badly cooked.
c.他这个人说得少，做得多。He talks a little, but does a lot.
d.你昨晚睡得好吗？ Did you sleep well last night?
e.展品摆设得十分得体。The exhibits are laid out in exquisite taste,
f.来得容易，去得快。Easy come, easy go.
(3)将“得”字后的形容词或形容词短语译为带修饰语的名词短语。例如：
a.玩得愉快。Have a good time.
b.这女孩英语说得真漂亮。The girl speaks beautiful English.
c.那球接得好。That’s a nice catch.
(4)我过得很悠闲0 I had a fairly restful time.
二、“得”字后跟副词短语作补语
“得”字后跟副词作补语时，常常在英文中选择适当的对应副词将该副词译出。 例如：
a.我们对生活乐观得很。We are very optimistic about life.
b.这价钱真是便宜得很。The price is unbelievably cheap/low.
3.灵活处理
在实际的翻译过程中，译者对“得”字句的翻译往往可以不拘泥于以上方法。译 者可根据原文的具体情况和英文的习惯表达法，对“得”字句加以灵活处理。例如： a?我的脚疼得不得了。My feet are killing me.
a.他最近忙得不可开交。He is as busy a so bee recently. / He is up to his neck inwork.
b.时间过得真快！ How time flies!
